At the free school ' Never Mind open_in_new ' that supports children who do not attend school, we respect children's individuality, values, and independence while providing support for making friends, physical fitness, academic assistance, and faith education. With the support of professionals such as doctors and public health nurses, many children are stepping forward to return to school or advance to higher education.

This is a volunteer movement for supporting children with disabilities open_in_new that addresses the anxieties and concerns of children with disabilities and encourages and inspires their parents. Centered around students and experienced volunteers, we conduct faith education for children with disabilities across the country. Every summer, we hold a national camp at the temple. For parents, we organize exchange meetings, study sessions, and provide phone and email consultations.

Since 2003, when the number of suicides exceeded 30,000 annually, we have been conducting the 'Let's Reduce Suicide Campaign' nationwide. In 2020, we also established the Happy Science 'Suicide Prevention Consultation Desk' to accept consultations via phone and email.

Happy Science has established a scholarship program to support students and youth who are creating a hopeful golden future, aiming to produce many talented individuals who can contribute to the world. Through this program, children in Japan and abroad are working hard in their studies towards their future dreams.

Helen's Association open_in_new aims to provide various support for people with disabilities to learn the truth of the Buddha's teachings, inspired by Helen Keller, who overcame three hardships and gave hope to people. By learning the truths of this world and the next, and polishing their own hearts, they overcome their disabilities and shine in their respective roles in life.

Happy Science supports the General Incorporated Foundation 'Network to Protect Children from Bullying' open_in_new, which conducts activities nationwide to reduce the number of children suffering from bullying. This organization was established mainly by parents of bullying victims and conducts symposiums with experts and provides consultations on bullying.

Through the Buddha's teachings of reflection and self-help efforts, we provide salvation for the souls of those who have made mistakes in the past and their families.

We opened 35 relief centers and delivered approximately 1,000 truckloads of support supplies sent by members nationwide. Additionally, over 20,000 members participated as relief volunteers. They were engaged in distributing supplies, cooking meals, setting up baths and toilets, and providing medical assistance.

We support UNESCO's activities. We donate unused postcards and used stamps collected from volunteers among our members to the Japan UNESCO Association's 'World Terakoya Movement.' These donations are used to support the education of underprivileged children around the world.

We participate in JICA's (Japan International Cooperation Agency) 'For the Smiles of the World' program. We donate items collected from students and parents attending the Buddha's teachings school Success No.1 and the free school Never Mind to children in developing countries through JICA.

We delivered oil stoves, blankets, heat packs, water, and food to those affected in Miyagi Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, and Koriyama City in Fukushima Prefecture (or evacuation centers). Living supplies were also delivered to the Happy Science Miyagi North Branch, where food distribution was conducted for nearby residents. The Happy Realization Party also made donations to local governments.

Happy Science has been involved in disaster and educational support around the world, and in 2013, following the publication of the spiritual message 'Nelson Mandela's Last Message' from the late Nelson Mandela, we established the 'HS Nelson Mandela Fund.' We actively provide support both materially and spiritually to people suffering from racial discrimination, poverty, political oppression, and disaster victims.

With part of the proceeds from the movie 'Buddha's Rebirth' (released in autumn 2009), we are constructing school buildings for two schools and providing scholarships for poor children. Additionally, we held a screening of the movie 'Buddha's Rebirth' in Kathmandu as educational support for Lumbini Buddha University. We regularly donate stationery and sports equipment to elementary schools in Pokhara. We also supported the NGO project 'The World's Largest Picture.'

In Uganda, we are donating mosquito nets for malaria prevention to schools and hospitals, and we continue to provide scholarship support for AIDS orphans. Additionally, we are conducting charity efforts to distribute seeds for beans and corn in rural areas. Furthermore, during the landslide disaster that occurred in eastern Uganda in March 2010, members of the Happy Science Uganda branch visited the disaster area urgently and donated 1,000 blankets to the Red Cross refugee camp.

In addition to donating blankets to Mother Teresa's facilities and providing food supplies to orphanages, we conducted a charity for used clothing sent by volunteer members in the slums near the capital, Delhi. In Aurangabad, we also donated stationery sets and conducted medical charity. Moreover, we are providing ongoing support to some schools, including the provision of textbooks and uniforms, as well as school lunches and teacher salaries.

In northeastern Australia, severe landslides and serious flooding occurred due to prolonged heavy rainfall. More than 3 million people were affected by this disaster. On February 4, 2011, we visited the Australian Embassy in Japan and donated funds as support for the damage caused by the heavy rainfall. This support was utilized for local recovery efforts through the Queensland state government.

In May 2008, at the request of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, we provided state-of-the-art tents for the victims of the Sichuan earthquake through the Chinese Red Cross. We also delivered support funds through the local Red Cross from the Happy Science Hong Kong corporation. Additionally, in December 2008, Happy Science Publishing donated books to children at a primary school in Gansu Province, close to the disaster area of the Sichuan earthquake. The presentation ceremony was held in cooperation with the local Red Cross.

In March 2009, shortly after the conflict, we decided to provide aid to children in the Gaza Strip, an administrative area of the Palestinian Authority, through the Japan UNICEF Association and the international NGO Save the Children. A presentation ceremony was held at Save the Children, where we handed over the support funds. The funds are being used for the provision of supplies and mental care activities for children who have suffered psychological damage.

In 2004, the southwestern city of Galle in Sri Lanka was affected by tsunami damage from the Sumatra earthquake. We supported the reconstruction of schools in the city for the children. In 2008, the opening ceremony was held with the participation of Sri Lanka's Deputy Minister of Education, the Governor, and senior monks. In 2011, we donated 100 bookshelves to a Buddhist temple through the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, using part of the proceeds from the book 'The Law of Education.'

In eastern Turkey, around Van, there were successive severe earthquake damages. As support, on November 22, 2011, we visited the Turkish Embassy in Japan and handed over support funds to Chargé d'Affaires Toncu Angur.

In November 2011, as disaster support for the Thai floods, we visited the Ratchapracha Foundation of the Thai royal family and donated support funds. This support was allocated for emergency living supplies in the 42 affected provinces of Thailand.

In January 2011, heavy rains, floods, and landslides described as 'the worst disaster in the past 40 years' occurred in Brazil. We provided support funds through the non-profit organization 'Japan Platform' for the damages.

In February 2010, a massive earthquake and tsunami occurred. In March 2010, we donated support funds through the Chilean Embassy in Japan.

At a Buddhist welfare facility in the capital Kuala Lumpur, we are engaged in activities such as providing supplies and visiting the elderly. Additionally, during the large lecture held by President Ryuho Okawa in 2011, we donated notebooks and clothing to children, and donated part of the proceeds from the book 'The Law of Education' to six orphanages through Happy Science Publishing.

On February 22, 2011, an earthquake occurred in New Zealand. We donated support funds to the affected area.

To support the victims of the Sumatra earthquake, we donated support funds through the international NGO Save the Children.

In September 2009, as support for the recovery from the wildfire near Los Angeles, we handed over support funds collected from various branches of Happy Science in the United States to the American Red Cross. In Hawaii, we are supporting infrastructure development for the women's relief organization 'WIN.'

In May 2008, we donated support funds to the American Red Cross for cyclone victims through Happy Science America. Support funds from volunteer members in Malaysia were donated to the Red Crescent Society through a Buddhist temple in Kuala Lumpur.

In 2009, there was an outbreak of swine flu centered in Mexico, causing public concern. To prevent the spread of the damage, we conducted a mask distribution activity in Mexico City, mainly led by members of the local branch.

In January 2010, a major earthquake struck Haiti. We donated support funds through the Japan UNICEF Association to the affected area. Additionally, we delivered support funds collected from branches in the United States and Canada to the local Red Cross.
