Our organization's view on the installation of the comfort woman statue in Taiwan: 'Happy Science calls for the removal of the comfort woman statue'

Currently, the protest activities conducted by Japanese conservative groups against the installation of Taiwan's first comfort woman statue are attracting public attention, but the root of the problem lies in the fact that the pro-China opposition party, the Kuomintang, forcibly led the installation of the comfort woman statue.

The fabricated so-called 'comfort women issue' is being used to incite anti-Japanese sentiment, which distances Taiwan from the shared values of 'freedom, democracy, and faith' between Japan and Taiwan, and accelerates Taiwan's colonization by the materialistic state of China.

In other words, while the authoritarian hegemonic regime of the Beijing government is rationalizing the invasion of Uighurs and Tibet, the installation of a comfort woman statue in Taiwan leads to acknowledging the movement for Taiwan to be annexed by the Beijing government.

Happy Science hereby formally expresses its demand for the Kuomintang in Taiwan to remove the comfort woman statue.
