The Hero's Image - President Ryuho Okawa's Heart Guidance 180 -

President Ryuho Okawa's 'Heart Guidance' is serialized in the Happy Science publication Monthly 'Happy Science'. Posters are displayed at branches nationwide, and it is widely known as the monthly face of Happy Science.

This month's 'Heart Guidance' discussed the 'Hero's Image' that continues to fight even when misunderstood by those around them. We spoke with Martina Turner from the International Headquarters of Happy Science, who said, 'Heroes are special beings, but anyone can become a small hero.'

A hero is someone who gives love.

Even if misunderstood, the image of a hero who continues to fight for their loved ones - I felt that it is the very image of a person living with 'giving love.'

I learned about the teaching of 'giving love' in Happy Science when I was in my twenties, teaching English in Japan. At that time, I stood at the podium thinking, 'I hope this ends soon,' in front of students who were sleeping during class. However, when I changed my mindset and decided to 'give love to all my students,' they transformed remarkably and began to attend class with smiles.

However, I couldn't immediately practice 'giving love.' When I deeply learned the teaching that 'humans are the children of God and all people have 'Buddha nature (the nature of God),' and discovered 'Buddha nature' within myself, I felt connected to God and gained confidence. Then, I was able to find Buddha nature in others and practice 'giving love.'

A hero who leads the world to happiness.

The teaching that 'everyone is a child of God' has the power to transcend ethnic and religious differences. When my relatives in Canada married someone from Islam, I conveyed, 'At the root of the world's religions is the same God, and all humans are children of that God,' and they felt very relieved and accepted it with joy.

I am now spreading the teachings of Happy Science to people from various countries, and I believe that if we convey the teachings of Happy Science, people from all religions will be able to understand each other.

On the other hand, in materialistic countries like China that do not recognize religion, humans are treated like objects, and human rights abuses continue. Master Okawa criticized China's totalitarian regime in a lecture held in October, stating, 'Now is the time to change.' I believe that Master, who continues to give lectures in various countries and fights with thoughts and words for the happiness of the world, is the true hero.

I want to learn Master's thoughts, take action, and become a 'small hero' who delivers love to people.
