Creation of the Future - President Ryuho Okawa's Guiding Principles 187 -

President Ryuho Okawa's original work "Guiding Principles" is serialized in the Happy Science's publication Monthly 'Happy Science'. Posters are displayed at branches nationwide, and it is widely known as the monthly face of Happy Science.

This month's "Guiding Principles" illustrates the importance of "being a being created by deities" and "the significance of believing that the future can be created and making efforts". In the current COVID-19 pandemic, I asked Mr. Mizusho Motochikawa of Happy Science for hints on creating a bright future.

With the spread of the new coronavirus originating in China, the economy has been severely impacted, and the situation of living difficulties continues.

However, after reading the "Guiding Principles", I strongly felt that even in such times, the divine will is to "create the future", and that it has been entrusted to humanity.

This is because we humans are the "children of deities", and deities have given us the same creative nature as themselves. This is called Buddha-nature.

The hidden power within humans

When a person realizes that "they also have Buddha-nature", they gain strength. I have witnessed this many times.

For example, at President Ryuho Okawa's lecture in Uganda, a local youth who heard that "humans have light within them" broke into a broad smile and hugged me, who was present at the scene. Also, a believer in America said that when they talked about Buddha-nature to a homeless person, that person's eyes sparkled.

By realizing that humans have Buddha-nature, they can gain confidence.

When divine assistance descends

Moreover, the hearts of humans, who are children of deities, possess the power to "attract what they envision". It is also important to be aware of this "power of thought".

However, I once prayed to the heavenly realm with an ideal of "wanting to achieve this much in my work", and President Okawa guided me by saying, "It is wrong to think you can achieve it just by praying to God". In short, my planning and efforts were insufficient. While praying is important, it is essential to use the creative nature entrusted by deities to make efforts beforehand. I believe that by doing so, divine assistance will come from the heavenly realm.

In the current COVID-19 pandemic, I think many people feel anxious and uncertain about the future. However, Happy Science has teachings that can solve problems and open up life in any environment. No matter how painful it is, there is no night that does not lead to morning. Let’s believe that we have Buddha-nature, not be defeated by COVID, and create the future together.
