Q. What is "offering (fuse)"?

The act of giving a part of one's wealth for the sake of the noble deities is called "offering (fuse)".

Happy Science receives blessings, offerings, and donations from its believers, but these blessings and donations based on faith are directed towards the deities that are the objects of faith. Furthermore, it is also an act that supports religious practice and the religious environment.

Blessing

In Happy Science, offerings (fuse) are likened to "planting trees" and are called "blessing (shokufuku)". Planting trees is done with consideration for the future, thinking about a hundred years ahead. The person who plants the sapling cannot actually cut down that tree for lumber, sell it, or build a house with it; it will never belong to them. However, the planted tree will grow into a lush mountain and eventually become lumber, transforming into houses and other things.

Not a "price"

The evangelistic activities conducted by religion do not have a price like a company. When Happy Science receives blessings from its member believers, it is not in exchange for goods or labor. If there is a price, there is already impurity, and it is not a blessing. Even if there are acts such as reading sutras or giving sermons, those are merely opportunities and not done in exchange for blessings.

Blessing is also a mental practice of "offering what one has to the noble, and cutting off attachment." It is something without a price, and that is precisely why it has value and merit. The precious blessings you offer are a light that brings happiness to society.

There is no price for religious acts such as listening to sermons or receiving prayers and training, but by offering with gratitude to the deities, it becomes a practice of cutting off attachment.

What is offered to the deities

Blessing is the practice of love given for the happiness of many people in the future.
