[Victory for the Happy Science Group] Court Decision on the Damages Lawsuit Against Hiroshi

Due to a series of slanderous remarks made by Hiroshi Okawa on YouTube and in magazines, which resulted in the discontinuation of selling of the DVD of the film Daybreak, in which Hiroshi appeared, as well as the unauthorized transfer of music equipment by Hiroshi, New Star Production Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit seeking damages (filed on September 10, 2019). On August 24, 2023, the Tokyo District Court ordered the defendant, Hiroshi, to pay 170,000 yen in damages to New Star Production Co., Ltd.

With this decision, the Happy Science Group has achieved nine consecutive victories in lawsuits against Hiroshi (including district court, high court, and preliminary injunctions against street protests).
