Defamation lawsuit by former believer, Supreme Court confirms victory for Happy Science Group

Following the confirmation of our victory at the Supreme Court on January 23 (against the 'Weekly Bunshun' lawsuit), regarding the appeal trial of the lawsuit in which former believer Osamu Tanemura sought damages from our group, claiming defamation by the scripture 'Approaching the Truth of Shariputra' (published by Happy Science) released by our group in 2012, on January 27, the Supreme Court decided not to accept Mr. Tanemura's appeal, confirming a complete victory for our group.

This case was an appeal filed by Mr. Tanemura after the Tokyo High Court (appeal trial) delivered a complete victory judgment for our group in July 2014, and with the Supreme Court's decision this time, the complete victory judgment for our group at the Tokyo High Court has been confirmed.
