Ryuho Okawa's work "Guidelines for the Heart" is serialized in the propagation magazine of Happy Science, Monthly 'Happy Science'. It is also displayed in posters at branches nationwide and is widely known as the monthly face of Happy Science.

Awakening to the value of polishing the heart

I believe this month's 'Guidelines for the Heart' is a 'guideline' that teaches us the essence of 'loving others'.

When people look for a partner, they first think about 'what kind of person will make me happy' and list conditions such as appearance, income, and status. While this is not necessarily 'bad', if one chooses a partner based solely on 'external conditions', the difference between how they appear and their true self can be so great that neither can find happiness, often leading to unsuccessful outcomes.

Loving only the appearance will inevitably fade over time. On the other hand, those who become aware of the existence of the 'soul (heart)' residing in the body and awaken to polishing their heart will shine more brightly as they age, deepening their sense of happiness.

To discover true brilliance

I have been fortunate to serve in the sacred profession of Happy Marriage Counseling and have witnessed many people's journeys to marriage.

At our counseling center, we hold 'Training & Exchange Meetings' at seijas open_in_new nationwide. Participants learn the teachings of Ryuho Okawa through training and deepen their heart's practice, enabling them to discover the brilliance (Buddha nature) of their own and others' souls. As a result, those who initially presented various conditions for marriage often find themselves united with a soul mate without being fixated on those conditions.

Seeing everyone who says 'I am truly happy' even after many years of marriage makes me realize that recognizing the 'value of the heart' is the most important thing.

The characteristics of 'Haw Skin', which is taught in the 'Guidelines for the Heart', involve manipulating the opposite sex based on appearance, and are marked by strong self-love and self-centeredness. Choosing this type as a partner will likely not lead to happiness.

To see the purity of a person's heart, it is essential to continue refining one's own heart. Eventually, through the law of cause and effect, a person who matches one's own state of mind will appear.

President Okawa teaches about true love and enlightenment, guiding us to real happiness. Now is a miraculous time to be with the greatest savior. Why not learn the Lord's teachings and grasp true happiness?
